Global Investment Report features the financial research and reporting of Eric Uhlfelder, a New York-based analyst and writer who has been covering global capital markets for 20 years. He has written for a variety of publications, including The Financial Times, Barron’s, Institutional Investor, Bloomberg, BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The International Herald Tribune. He has also provided research to a variety of institutions, including Paulson & Company, the United Nations, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Union Bancaire Privee, UBS PaineWebber, and Fidelity. He wrote the first investor guide to European Currency Union, “Investing in the New Europe,” which was published by Bloomberg Press in 2001. In addition, Uhlfelder occasionally reports on urban and cultural issues. Topics include the planning of Paris and Venice, theatre and arts review, and a forthcoming feature on the building of the original World Trade Center in New York [Fall 2011].
